E-PORTFOLIO MATHS STRAND

ACHIEVEMENT OBJECTIVES:

Key Understandings:

Know days of the week and months of the year in order.

Identify seasons and months they fall in.

Tell hour, half hour and quarter hour times (minute time extension).

Make connections between digital and analogue displays.

Understand the makeup of time (60 seconds in a minutes, 60 minutes in an hour etc).

Achievement Objectives: Maths - Measurement

Level 1: Order and compare events by time by direct comparison and/or

counting whole numbers of units.

Level 2: Create and use appropriate units and devices to measure time.

Level 3: Use whole numbers of metric units for time.

Success Criteria:

- sequence events within a day

- name and order the days of the week

- tell time to the hour and half hour using analogue clocks

- tell time after the hour by counting minutes

- estimate the time taken for daily activities in hours and minutes

- know and order the months of the year

- know the seasons and the months that go with them

I think I did well because I learnt how to tell the time properly.

My next step is to learn how to read the clock faster.
